Why a Cavapoo?
Cavapoos are the most happy & affectionate breed. They crave the company and attention of their people; they make the best family member.
They truly strive to make you happy, they do need to be taught what is right and wrong.
As long as your Cavapoo is with you, they'll be happy; you will typically find the snuggled up right next to their owner.
Their easy-going nature makes a cavapoo a great fit for almost any home, regardless of lifestyle. However, Cavapoos will not thrive in a home where they are often alone for long periods of time or in a home where they are primarily outside dogs. These babies are so loving and want nothing more than to be by their owner’s side whether it be playing, snuggling, or just sitting right next to them!
Are Cavapoos Hypoallergenic?
Technically, there is no such thing as a dog being hypoallergenic. However, depending upon the generation, (F1, F1B), a breeder can typically tell the type of coat a Cavapoo will have, determining the amount they could potentially shed, which typically, is little to none.
When most people think of allergies to animals, they think of fur, but instead, it’s caused by shedding. When dogs shed they release dander into the environment. Dander is basically like human dandruff, its dead skin cells. Unfortunately, all animals have dander. However, the great thing about Cavapoos, is since they shed so little, and since they shed so little the dander remains trapped in their coat, they are less likely to cause allergic reactions as it isn’t released into the air of the home.
Even though Cavapoos typically do not shed, they still need to be brushed several times throughout the week so that they do not get mats.
F1 vs F1B vs F1BB
There are many of times people will request a specific generation. However, what many people do not realize, is that just like humans, regardless of generation all Cavapoos can look different. Genetics plays a huge role in the looks of Cavapoos just like it does to humans.
With all of this being said; we pride ourselves with only breeding first generation Cavapoos; which is as follows:
F1: 50% King Charles Cavalier; 50% Poodle (sizing depends on the dog bred)
F1B: 25% King Charles Cavalier; 75% Poodle
F1BB: 12.5% King Charles Cavalier; 87.5% Poodle
